2013 Red Hot Costume Cleaning Instructions
Dear parents/guardians,
Your child will bring home their show choir costumes after each competition on Monday. Please clean each costume as directed. Costumes must be returned to school on Thursday. (Costumes are loaded onto the trailer on Friday.)
If you notice any repairs that need to be made, please contact Sherry Murphy as soon as possible at 304-757-6339.
Girls: Turqoise sequin dress-turn dress inside-out and spray with febreeze. Let the dress air dry for at least 24 hours. Turn right-side out and zip-up. Return to garment bag.
Pink/orange/black top-Clean same as above
Black pants-Same as above
Maroon tulle skirt-Pull out any tulle or fuzz attached to the velcro. Clean as above.
***Make sure all four costume pieces are in garment bag; shoes go in back pocket of garment bag.
***Please use clear deodorant when wearing costumes(white shows up and marks costumes)
Guys: Maroon Suit-Spray jacket under arms with febreeze and let air-dry for 24 hours; hang up pants and jacket neatly and return to garment bag.
*Note each suit must be dry cleaned after:
** Red Hot competitioin Feb. 9 and Encore performance in April
George's Cleaners has given us a discount in the past. Information will be forthcoming.
White dress shirt-After EVERY competition, please do the following:
*Attach velcro in the front and on each sleeve closure; wash in cold water; dry in dryer or air-dry and iron; return to garment bag.
Jeans-After EVERY competition, hang up neatly. Please wash jeans ONLY after the following competitions. (This will ensure that jean fading is consistent):
*Poca competition on Feb. 2, Teays Valley, OH competition on March 16.
Instructions:
Inside-out and wash jeans in cold water(to prevent shrinking); let jeans air-dry(to avoid shrinking); iron; and hang on hanger in garment bag.
Black/green/torqouise shirt-turn shirt inside-out and spray with Febreeze; let air-dry for 24 hours; turn right-side out and return to garment bag.
***Please make sure all five costume pieces plus the belt are in garment bag; shoes go in back of the garment bag.
